I read about this book, "Artisan Bread In 5 Minutes A Day", over at Erin's blog--House On Hill Road, and I had to give it a try.
The Master Recipe only takes 4 ingredients, and you can mix it up in less than 5 minutes--super quick!! Let it rise for a few hours, and you take out 1/3 to make a loaf of bread, and refrigerate the rest to use later in the week! Here is a one of my loaves getting ready to rise--
Can you smell that yeasty yumminess?? And here it is fresh out of the oven--
MMMmmm! It's almost as good as one of those really complex looking quilts that was actually a breeze to put together. Like Sweet Sugar Swirls--I'm having so much fun working on this quilt. It is so easy to make, but looks like it was a real challenge! I'll post pictures soon.
Back to bread--I've used this recipe for pizza crust, focaccia bread, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the sweet bread recipes (like the Apple & Pear Coffee Cake and Pecan Caramel Rolls). It's even great toasted for breakfast and drizzled with honey--
Yummy, yummy, yummy--we've all got lots of home-baked bread love in our tummies!
TTFN,
Kelly
