It was a busy, but B-E-A-utiful day here, so we cooked Cheesy English Burgers on the grill for dinner.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
4 sticks string cheese
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 English Muffins
Lettuce & Red Onion (to Garnish)
Make 8 thin hamburger patties. Break one piece of string cheese into 3 pieces, and place in center of one patty.
Place another hamburger patty on top. Crimp edges to seal in cheese. Repeat with remaining patties and string cheese. Grill on medium heat for approximately 10 minutes on each side.
While your burgers are grilling, spread butter on sliced English Muffins and toast:
Place slice of cheddar cheese on each patty when they are finished, and leave them on grill just long enough for the cheese to melt.
Put the patties on the toasted English Muffin. Garnish with lettuce and red onion. Slice and serve:
