Okay girls -- I've been feeling a little bad because we haven't gotten too many entries for the Quilt Show!

I'm thinking I need some of that cough syrup Lucy was selling!
That being said, at least I get to say -- I TOLD YOU SO! I said that I knew you guys were making a ton of B-E-A-utiful quilts--and I was right!
I can't tell you all how much I've enjoyed looking at your wonderful quilts, hearing about how they came to be, and why they are so special! We are now up to 15 entries. If you haven't gone through the Quilt Show you really must hop over and look at all the pretty quilts!
QUILT SHOW UPDATE
1. Number of Entries--Since your quilts are so B-E-A-utiful, and we'd love to see more of your work, we are now accepting 2 entries from each person! So ladies, please send us a 2nd quilt to enter if you've already sent one! AND, if you haven't sent any - you can send 2!
2. Prize Update--We've also updated the First Place Prize! The First Place Winner can choose between a Fat Quarter Bundle for sale in our store OR choose one of the Jelly Cakes I got from Spring Quilt Market:
None of the Spring Quilt Market fabric is for sale (have to save them for kit samples), BUT, one of you lucky ladies could win a jelly cake of your choice. The choices are Aster Manor, Rouenneries, Odyssea, Mill House Inn or Wiscasset.
Left Turn Clyde:
(That's what Studly says to me when we're talking about one thing, and I completely change the subject for no reason at all)!
Hey Stef and Allie--since we all 3 love the ocean and the Odyssea fabric, I think we should all meet up in Florida for a girls day at the beach, and then some sewing!
Hey Peggy (my friend who quilts in the State of Eternal Sunshine), can we stay at your house? I promise we'll be good (well pretty good), and we'll bring fabric!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of those BEAUTIFUL quilts!
TTFN,
Kelly

Come on Down!!! No need to be too good and we love fabric down here. I have a little house and my guest room is now a sewing room...no beds...but there are tons of cool places on the beach. I live next to Ft. Lauderdale. We love to go to this little 50's motel right on the beach. It only has 12 rooms. Definitely not fancy. Doesn't even have a lobby. All the rooms are different. Just bring bathing suits, fabric and machines.

Ohhh...I would love to go! I am originally from Florida but in my heart/mind, I am from San Diego!

That has to be one of my favorite Lucy episodes. I have ALL the dvd's, and watch them frequently!
I'm really loving all the quilts so far. Yay we get to see more!!!!!!!
I am more than ready to head to FL. Peggy, that motel sounds PERFECT. I adore all things FL and 50's!

Ok, I am going to have to relearn how to use my sewing machine! As much as hand sewing is relaxing, I can't stand all this new fabric (Aster Manor, Mill House Inn) and knowing I won't be able to quilt as fast as I want. Does that make sense? Anyhoo, great update on the quilt show!
