Some Fav's From My Ipod

Sappy Chick Flicks Kate & I Like To Watch While Sewing

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't watched these, reading our "favorite lines" might ruin the ending for you!

The Notebook

Allie: "Say you're a bird."
Noah: "If you're a bird, I'm a bird."

and

Noah: "Your mother is my home."

Life Or Something Like It

Lanie: "Things happen. Things you never see coming. Then you think afterward-' If I had known this, would I have changed things. Would I have done more? Or, would I be thinking - 'I need more time?'"

Pete: " Let's just say that Prophet Jack was right in one version of the universe . . . maybe he tapped into some wave length where in this version of your life, you do in fact die next Thursday. But, maybe if you change the path, change the path your currently on, the outcome is going to be different.
Lanie: "But, I've worked so hard on this one."

The Story Of Us

Ben: "What was your High and Low today."

and

Katie: "I'm saying Chow Funs because we're an us . . . And, God you're a good friend and good friends are hard to find . . . I'm saying Chow Funs because I love you!"

Footloose

Ariel: "What's the matter?"
Ren: "You're beautiful."
Ariel: "What?"
Ren: " I mean it, you are beautiful."

While You Were Sleeping

Jack: "Marry me."
Lucy: "Ya, I love you."
Jack: "I love you back."
Lucy: "So, I had planned to marry Peter, but I married Jack instead. Thank goodness my father was right. Life doesn't always work out the way you planned. But Jack . . . Jack gave me the perfect gift-a stamp in my passport. He took me to Florence for our honeymoon. I guess you could say he gave me the world. Peter once asked me when it was that I fell in love with jack and I told him, 'it was while you were sleeping.'"

Sixteen Candles

Jake: "Make a wish, Samantha."
Samantha: "It already came true."

Some Kind of Wonderful

Watts: "So, how do they look?"
Keith: "You look good wearing my future."

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

Maria (Toula's Mom): "The man, he is the head. But, the woman, she is the neck, and she can turn the head any way she wants."

The Family Stone

Meredith: " I try, I try . . . ."
Ben: "Maybe you should stop, just stop trying. It's exhausting - trying to keep that lid screwed on so tight. Just relax. Try it."
Meredith: (trying to lean back and relax) " I'm not comfortable."
Ben: " Here's the thing, Meredith. You have a freak flag-you just don't fly it."

Along Came Polly

Rueben: "I assess risk for a living . . . so I try to manage that risk by avoiding danger, and having a plan, and knowing what my next move is, and I guess you don't exactly live your live your life that way."
Polly: " No, I do it . . . I do it a little differently."

Fried Green Tomatoes

Evelyn:"And, if you won't listen to reason - there's always TOWANDA!"

Sweet Home Alabama

Melanie: "I'm happy in New York, Jake. But then I come down here, and this fits, too."
Jake: " Since when does it have to be one or the other? You can have roots and wings, Mel."

In My Project Queue

1. Sweet Sugar Swirls - Blocks Made & Sashed, just need to add borders, quilt & bind DONE!

2. Organize My Stash - Wheewie, what a mess! I haven't cleaned in a while and lots of FIFO (Fabric In, Fabric Out). Will need an open free afternoon for this project! DONE! (for now)

3. Quilt For Alec - My sweet baby boy is now registered for High School, and has seriously outgrown his "Summer Camp Quilt". DONE!

4. Quilt & Bind 8 Quilt Tops - Okay, discipline really needed here! I love quilting, I really do (but cutting and piecing are my favorite), so I kind of get behind! (2 down, 6 to go)

5. Jelly Girl & Butterscotch Tart - Love these quilts, have the kits, just need to work on them!

6. Fig Tree Manor - Seriously need new quilt to hang in our foyer, as we move from Country decor to more Tuscan/Fresh Vintage. This will be it! If anyone knows where I can find the dark mulberry brown fabric, please let me know---I have all the rest!

7. Sew Cute Little Birdies - Waiting for Fresh Vintage Sewing book for pattern, but already found these adorable nests with eggs! There are going on a shelf in the foyer! DONE!

8. Make New Duvet Cover for Our Bed - Waiting for Aviary Patchwork Fabric! I'm also going to make some fabric flowers to match for a glass dish on our dresser!

9. Tutorials - I have some fun ideas to make some home decor things using Moda precuts, and thought it would be fun to share the ideas with all of you! (One done, more to come)
