Hello to all of you Charming Girls. It's hard to believe that our first month of the Club has passed, and that it's time to post the projects we hope to finish for August.
Elizabeth M., in Michigan will be using this pattern she found in a magazine:
with this Glace fabric:
And, Patty B. will be working on this project:
A project she picked up in Hawaii on her honeymoon! How sweet is that?
I can't wait to see your finished projects.
My son Alec starts high school this year, and has outgrown the "Summer Camp" quilt I made him several years ago.
We went through a ton of patterns and fabric today (which is apparently not near as enjoyable for a 14 year old boy as it is for me), and he chose this pattern:
and some more "manly" plaid fabrics.
Okay, girls -- to participate in the August drawing, you will need to do a post on your blog with photos of your unfinished projects. Then, post a comment to this post with the link to your blog post by August 7. Those without a blog will need to e-mail me photos of their unfinished projects by the 7th, and I'll post them here.
We will be doing the tag on the 15th of this month for an extra entry.
In addition, I will do a post for the August Finishes on August 15, where you will need to comment and post the link to your blog with photos of your finished projects by August 31.
I'll be looking forward to seeing your new projects -- so start digging in that stash for the next UFO turned FO!
TTFN,
Kelly

Those quilts are really nice - can't wait to see the finishes! I can't participate this month - no machine - although it's at the dr. getting healthy as we speak. I love Alec's choice!

I'll pick my projects for this month tomorrow and get them posted before I make the official comment post, but wanted to say that I love your son's choice of colors and fabrics!
Great picks for Patty and Elizabeth too!

Wow, what cool projects! It's so much fun taking a peek at what the other members are doing for August. This club has become a real source of inspiration for me and has even led me to start my own blog. I'm in the midst of getting it put together and hopefully it won't be too much longer before I'm posting my pictures to it!
Kelly, I'll be sending you an e-mail tonight with my UFO's for this month.
