We're home again after 2 days of jam packed market goodness. It was so much fun--we met some really great people, saw gorgeous fabric and quilts, and laughed until our cheeks hurt.
The Fig Tree Quilts booth was one of my favorites.
This is Joanna Figuero, the creative genius behind the Fig Tree fabric and patterns we all love:
Okay, Sherri, I asked Joanna to point out which projects you sewed, and here they are (I think -- my brain is still a bit mushy from the whirlwind):
am I getting these right? Oh, I almost forgot to mention -- Sherri is our friend Sherri from A Quilting Life -- and she gets to sew for Joanna - how cool is that?
The new line by Fig Tree is called "Whimsy". It's has a couple of fun children's prints, but the others will mix and match with the rest of your Fig Tree stash. She also has some new "Snuggles" fabric (so soft) to go with this line.
And, of course, Joanna has created a ton of adorable projects and gorgeous quilts to go along with it. Here are a few more shots from her booth:
So lovely. Is it February yet? You can visit Joanna's blog, Fresh Figs to see more great pictures of her new fabric and projects.
I also got the opportunity to meet Ann Sutton. Yes, THE Ann Sutton, who is the creator of the A-DOR-ABLE Bunny Hill Design patterns that make us drool, and hunger for more.
Her booth was gorgeous, too. Like everyone, I'm in love with her new Block of the Month pattern -- Le Jardin. She made the entire quilt using the Rounneries line by French General:
It really is just beautiful to see in person.
Now, I must say that I felt a bit sad for another one of her new designs -- the quilt "Yoyoville". Anne made this quilt using "Simple Abundance" fabric by Bonnie & Camille.
It seemed to be overshadowed by Le Jardin -- but I just fell in love with it, too. So, I thought it deserved a bit of special attention:
And, the entire border has little houses with yo yo flowers and trees:
Isn't that just too cute? You can see more of Ann's lovely designs and photos of her booth at her blog, Bunny Tales.
That's all for tonight -- I really have to get some sleep!
So tell me girls -- what do you think of the new Fig Tree fabric and patterns, and the new Bunny Hill patterns?
Check back tomorrow for more market goodness.
