Woo Hoo -- this really is such fun. We're definitely going to have to have more sewing parties girls!
This will be my post for today -- click HERE for the Party Post with all of the links to our "partiers"!
I'm watching "The Notebook" -- had to start out UBER SAPPY -- it is a Valentine Sewing Party after all!
Have moved from coffee to DDP!
And, my strip sets are stitched
Off to sew! Will be checking all of your blogs, and back with an update in a couple of hours!
Update
"If you're a bird, I'm a bird." "It wasn't over, it was never over. It still isn't over" -- oh, be still my heart! Focus, Kelly, Focus! Focus on sewing. Focus on pressing (giggle).
Have moved back to coffee. Sidetracted for PC w/ Mom!
Project status:
Am visiting all of you -- such fun projects out there! Hey Kris (Dandelion Quilts) -- couldn't figure out how to comment -- love that quilt though, and can't wait to see it!
I leave you with a favorite line from "The Notebook" -
"The best love is the kind that weakens the soul, that makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts, and peace in our minds." What a romantic Noah is (sigh -- good sigh) -- oops, FOCUS!!!
Alright, on to visiting the rest of you!
Next up in entertainment - "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past"!
Update 5:00 P.M.
Color Me Happy -- I'm having a A BLAST TODAY!
Had a late, but very nutritious lunch:
Project Status:
"Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" - Matthew McConaughey & Jennifer Garner--about a man who as a result of pain and rejection closes his heart to love, but learns that some powerful lessons through meeting the ghosts of girlfriends past, present and future! A laugh A LOT, cry a little chick flick that's one of my fav's!
DOH - it's getting to the good part - must go, and sew!
Update 7:00 p.m.
Favorite line from "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" -- "Pain beats regret every day of the week, and twice on Sunday."
Project status:
Watching "Life Or Something Like It" with Angeline Jolie, and Edward Burns--another fav. Lanie is totally consumed with success and appearances, but learns some important lessons after she's told by Prophet Jack that she has only one week to live. Funny, makes ya think, a definite must see.
Is there anybody out there who's still partying with me??
Update 9:00 P.M.
Woo Hoo -- I'm rocking now! I'm feeling so young -- remember when we didn't even go out until 10:00 p.m. because that's when things got started??
Project status:
Favorite line from "Life Or Something Like It" - "Someone once said, 'Live every day as if it were your last, because one of these days, it will be.' Prophet Jack was right - a part of me did die that day. The part of me that didn't know how to live."
Also watches "Sweet Home Alabama" -- love that one too.
Favorite line - "Since when does it have to be one or the other? You can have roots and wings, Mel."
Watching "The Story of Us" with Bruce Willis (everyone tells my Studly he looks like Bruce Willis) and Michelle Pfieffer.
Okay -- I've got a few e-mails from some girls who are partying late with me -- thanks girls!
Update Midnight
Seriously -- this was too much fun. Favorite line from "Story of Us" -- "God, you're a good friend, and good friends are hard to find. Charlotte said that in Charlotte's Web . . . ." Love this movie.
I finished the night off watching "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". Favorite line -- "The man, he is the head, but the woman, she is the neck. And, she can turn the head any way she wants."
Project Status:
I'm signing off now to relax, snuggle, and enjoy
a glass of wine with my hero, my knight in shining armor, with the one who romances me, the one who makes me laugh and shine, with the one who gives true meaning to the celebration of love, my Valentine, and my very best friend--my Studly.
Baby, you beat Noah, Conner, Pete, Ben and Ian every day of the week--and twice on Sunday! I love you.
TTFN,
Kelly

Woo Hoo indeed, lol, this is fun! Love the fabric you chose for this quilt. See you later...

OOH - who doesn't just get "goose bumps" while watching "The Notebook", one of my ALL-TIME favorites.
Right now I'm just thinking of them in Noah's house while he's showing her that he's going to buy it one day.
OOH - and then when she finds the easel and drawing things he leaves her when she awakes alone in the bed.
Just melts my HEART.
I think I need some more Doritos.

Ghosts of girlfriends past???? Never seen it...Who is in it?
Posted by: Stefanie | January 23, 2010 at 02:23 PM
Well. I have a bit of the flighty brain thing going on here today, too...taking forever to cut and sew the simplest of things. I've been enjoying peaks at the other projects more than my own! Have not seen Ghosts of Girlfriends Past - hope it's time worthy once I get to it.
Posted by: Kim @ Stillmeadow Quilting | January 23, 2010 at 02:30 PM
That Noah..you have to love him. Brady was almost a Noah thanks to Nicholas Sparks.
Okay. So as you can see, Blogger and I haven't been getting along to well today...of all days. I fixed the last post, so it can receive comments as well. What a pain. Big apologies.
