Woo Hoo - time for the party to begin. To view all of the "Party Links", click HERE. Let the fun begin!
12:00 a.m.
Even my late partier's have signed off (frown)! I didn't finish Project 2
but, I made some progress. Will finish it up, and be back tomorrow with the pix!
Okay - favorite line from "Dirty Dancing" (after watching it TWICE) - at the end, they're dancing, she did the lift - they're still dancing, and Johnny is singing to Baby:
"Now, I've had the time of my life. No I never felt this way before. Yes I swear, it's the truth -- AND I OWE IT ALL TO YOU ... "!!!! And they kiss . . . be still my heart!! I think I better watch it one more time LOL!
Alright, after that I must have a bit of vino and snuggle with my Studly!
Thanks girls - "I've had the time of my life . . . ."
10:00 p.m.
I'm definitely not going to finish - and it's all Cindy and Michelle's fault
because now I'm TOTALLY distracted! I wasn't going to watch this - but they just kept talking about it (temptresses that they are) - so I'm not going to get finished with Project 2, and it's all their fault! IIIIIIIIIIIII
oops - lost my focus there - looking at Johnny - thanks a lot girls!
8:30 p.m.
Late partiers - Michelle, Cindy, and me! Are there any more late partiers out there??
Okay, a little progress - but not much! I've been visiting all of you girls! What pretty Spring projects - and what fun you all are!
This is a start on project 2. But, a long way to go! May have to move back to coffee - and to that chocolate!
Movies & Favorite Lines
"He's Just Not That Into You" - Alex "You're my exception."
"Fried Green Tomatoes" - Evelyn "And, if you won't listen to reason - there's always TOWANDA!!" and Ninnie "How many of them hormones are you takin, honey?"
"Footloose" - Wren - "You're beautiful. I mean it - - - you are Beautiful!"
Now Playing - "13 Going On 30"!
Seriously, if you're still out there - drop me a line!
6:05 p.m.
Sustenance down
too stuffed for chocolate. GASP even I can't believe I said that!
moving on to Project 2! I'm gonna try to finish it tonight - so that Hershey Bar is still going to come in very handy!
5:50 p.m.
Dinner is served - and Cindy, I'm sending you ANOTHER cyber Hershey's bar - just to make sure you're good LOL!
4:30 p.m.
Geeze - time flies when you're having fun! Now, my regular readers know just how much I love making mini - quilts!
Well, I've designed several mini-quilts for the new pattern company, and finished the first
(special thanks to Sue for getting this "Charmette" logo done on such short notice)
"Charmette" quilt top today.
Allow me to introduce:
“Katiebug”
The quilt is named after my Sweet Daughter Kate. The quilt is made with "Whimsy" fabric by Fig Tree Quilts. The blocks in this quilt are called "Cat's Cradle". This made me think of the song "Cat's In The Cradle" by Cat Stevens - which always makes me think of my Katiebug (that's what we called her when she was little), and just how quickly the first 20 years of her life flew by!
For my bright, bubbly, warm-hearted daughter, who has brought us such joy - I love you so much - and, I'm still so proud to be called "Katie's mom"!
May your life always be filled with love, laughter, joy - and a touch of "Whimsy"!
12:00 p.m.
Progress
Switched to DDP, and only had to use
the seam ripper once!
Favorite Line - Some Kind of Wonderful
First chick flick down! Oh girls, I tried to not start out so sappy this time (like I did last time with "The Notebook" - but I'm not sure this is much better)!
"Some Kind of Wonderful" - okay, let's just say it's an 80's verson of Taylor Swift's song "You Belong With Me".
Keith thinks he's in love with Amanda (hot heels wearing girl). His best friend Watts (not so hot sneaker girl) is in love with Keith. Keith blows his whole college savings to buy Amanda (hot girl) diamond ear rings - but, realizes his true love is his BEST FRIEND (sneaker girl), and give the ear rings to Watts instead.
Watts: (weeping as she puts on the ear rings)
"So, how do they look?"
Keith: "You look good wearing my future."
Heart melting sigh - perhaps I should put in "Terminator" LOL!
Hope your sewing is going well!
9:00 a.m.
Good morning girls! I'm ready for the party
Project 1 - Check
Chick Flicks - Check
Morning Sustenance - 1/2 Check -- need to make more coffee!
I'm off to add a few links to our list, and then to sew for a bit! I'm so looking forward to our day of sewing (and snacking) together!
TTFN,

I loved that movie when it came out! My then boyfriend, now husband of 24 years looked so much like Eric Stoltz did in that movie...Memphis Bell too. They look nothing alike now, but back then it made for interesting conversations with my girlfriends...ahhh to be 15 again!

I really like your log cabin with Rural Jardin. Believe it or not I've never made a log cabin but I think I found one I really like. Yours! Are you using a pattern or is it your own creativity?
Had a great time yesterday.
