Oh girls, I had a blast with all of you at the "Spring Sewing Party"! I must remember next time to plan LESS sewing - more time for chatting with you fine girls!
I did (finally) finish Project 2. This is
Acadienne
Here is an excerpt from the pattern about the name of this quilt:
Name: This quilt was made in honor of my very dear friend Joan Tufts, who is French Acadienne. I met Joan through my quilt shop, “Cotton Charm Quilts”, and we became fast friends. She now works with me to co-lead our blog club, “The Charming Guys & Girls Quilt Club”. Though she lives in
Three Heads Are Better Than One!
I'm just too darned excited - I got my first pattern back from Sue with all of the graphics- and I had to share with you -- all my blogging buddies!
Okay - so the three heads thing!
Kelly - writes patterns, and puts all of the "helpful hints" on the 1st page of the pattern.
Carol - Carol of Brown Quilts Carol tests the pattern - and says it would be a great idea to have a "Helpful Hints" box (and put them where they apply in the pattern)!
And, I think what a great idea - and what if we put a little birdie by it to go with the logo!
Sue - with her GRAPHIC GENIUS - comes up with this
I told you 3 heads were better than one!
They also caught several errors! Uber thanks to you Carol and Sue! I love you guys, and I'm just so grateful for both of you!
TTFN,
Kelly

Acadienne is awesome Kelly! And so is KatieBug too. When you're ready to announce that your patterns are ready to purchase I'm gonna shout it from the rooftops!!!
Love the idea of highlighting the tips in a box with the birdie beside it, after all the birdie is part of your logo.
Oh, does the birdie have a name?
