Goodness, feels like not much to report - except that my
niblet jar runneth over! And, my
224 Flying Geese are finished!
Trying to keep everything with the "rest" theme today!
Food
Studly got Mcy D's for lunch. And, Carol sent me some cyber chocolate! No cooking - very restful.
Entertainment
Well - all the movies today are about workaholic, success oriented women who have a hard time resting and relaxing!
Started with my favorite
The Plot: Newscaster Lanie Carrigan is on the fast track to success, when she a prophet she's interviewing tells her that she only has one week to live! All of the sudden her "perfect" life that was on track with her "perfect" plan - doesn't seem so perfect! Enter Pete - who already knows what really matters in life!
Favorite Line - SPOILER ALERT
"Prophet Jack was right. A part of me did die that day. The part of me that didn't know how to live."
Currently watching
another favorite. Poor Meridith is a workaholic who doesn't know how to relax! Enter Ben - who is well - let's just say OVER - relaxed!
Favorite Line
"Here's the thing Meridith. You have a freak flag. You just don't fly it!"
Off to check in on you girls! Oh, and I'm staying late at the party to do some more stitching - if any of you are staying late - post a comment or e-mail and we can stay in touch!
Should have some stars for us to "gaze" at when I come back!
TTFN,
Kelly

So happy today - I just love sewing parties! My word this year is "Rest", and so I definitely knew I'd be using
"Durham Anew" fabric by Brenda Riddle for Lecien. It's so soft, romantic, and warm! I don't think I've ever loved a fabric more!
The quilt I designed is called "Stargazers" - and this quote will be stitched on the back:
"There is precious little hope to be got out of whatever keeps us industrious, but there is a chance for us whenever we cease work and become stargazers." -- H.M. Tomlinson
I was going to use
a white background for the stars, but changed my mind.
So, I quick like cut 128 new flying geese
I'm running behind schedule now - so if you smell smoke - no need to panic. It's just my sewing machine - trying to get me caught up!
Mkay- that didn't sound very "restful" - perhaps I should read that quote again!
TTFN,
Kelly
