How fun is that?  Thank you SO much Sharon!  It's packed away with my Valentine's decor - so I can put it out every year!

it's a "Word Up" quilt - all of our Words for this year are written in the sashing!  Love it Rosie - just love it!  Such a fun idea!!!

As for me, my ironing board cover was DISGUSTING!  I'm not joking - it was down right shameful

 
See!! In my defense - I do a ton of quilts with triangles, and don't use steam because it causes stretching for me - so I just use an UBER hot setting!  Oh, and I don't have one of those applique things to protect your cover, oh and the iron print you see - well - I accidently left the iron  . . . Mkay - I'm SO embarrassed I'm trying to explain to you all . . . but you understand, right??

with the ever-so lovely, "Buttercup"!  Really think this one's gonna be a cutie!

P.S.  I forgot to ask - are any of you watching OWN, the new Oprah Network?  Well, so they have this show called "Enough Already" with Peter Walsh - who goes in and helps people who need to clean out lots of clutter.  Mkay - so there is going to be a quilter (she has lots of fabric) on there tonight at 8 p.m. CST!  Should we watch girls?  Or perhaps not??  What do ya think?

I finished piecing "Stargazers" and

 
I finished piecing the "Snowbound" quilt!  My sweet friend Darlene stitched all 12 blocks and mailed them to me each month!  This quilt is very special to my heart!!  Thank you again Darlene.

Having long arm issues - they're supposed to come this week to get me all fixed up!

Got me a little "Holiday Happy" by Lecien to go with my new pink Christmas decor! 

And, I'm still drooling over this fabric

 
this is "Durham Collection" by Lecien!  I started a new quilt that uses this fabric (pix to come) - and was BEYOND excited to find it!  It's Divine - really!!

Of course, I still had my drawing class

 
I'm practicing drawing on anything CUTE I can find around here.  Can't say I'm a top student - but my drawing is really improving - and I'm having a blast! 

Read this book

 
a fascinating look at the differences between Western and Eastern philosophy and religion as it relates to genuine happiness - and some fascinating studies of the brain and psychology thrown in to boot!  Mkay - should probably explain - I don't read much fiction.  These kinds of books are FUN for me.

I spent some time with my Studly, Studly Jr. and my Katiebug!  Didn't take pictures though!  In fact - had to get out my camera to get all these shots today!  I was on a camera break too!

Oh and yoga - been doing it 5 days a week!  Thought I was going to have to wear my yoga clothes to class a couple of times (hard for me to squeeze in 35 minutes before my 8 a.m. class). 

I've mentioned I'm on a huge embroidery kick right now - I mean I can't hardly stop!

 
I'm still stitching on my "Winter Wonderland" blocks!

Oh, and while I was shopping - I found this basket on sale

 
at Hobby Lobby when I was buying the embroidery thread for my new project!  I got organized - labeled cards and put the thread in numerical order!  Love this basket - it looks so cute in my living room!

Mkay - so here is the latest project - it's called "Berry Picking Party" by Crabapple Hill!

 
this is the "Pie" block and this is the

 
"Sweet Cream" block!  And, they just get cuter and cuter!  I even learned to do the "Lazy Daisy" stitch and the "Button Hole" stitch!

This quilt is the one that was done using the "Durham Collection" fabric!  The fabric has raspberries and strawberries on it - PERFECT for this quilt!  I'm still so psyched I found it!

And, yesterday - when I had to go back to work - with lots of orders to fill, Studly brightened my day

 
for Valentine's Day!  Oh, and he got me some chocolate too!  You're a doll - and I love ya Studly!

So, the break was good - I highly recommend it girls!

One thing I realized is just how much I've really missed having free time to sew!  Working on a plan to do be doing a lot more stitching in the future!

lovely tea towel kit from Sinta at Pink Pincushion!  I just LOVE them!!  I'm on a huge embroidery kick right now - and Crabapple Hill - well, they're my favorite!!!
