Hi Girls! Hope you all are doing well! Thanks so much for all of the sweet, and encouraging comments! I heart ya! And, thanks you to all of you gals who were so excited about the chance to
I used the Random Number Generator - and #10, #3, and #20 were chosen!
So, Beverly Combe, Carol of Carol's Crafty Creations, and Judy of Shadetree Quilting, you are my winners! I'm already working a little gift for all of you, and am so looking forward to getting to send all of you a treat! Thank you SO much for playing along - and remember you get to "Pay It Forward" to 3 people in the next year as well!
Traveling Stash Box (es) - And How To Win!
This is so cool! I won the "Traveling Stash Box" from Shannon of NuNu's Quilts. Thanks so much Shannon - I've had a ball with this thing! Mkay - so here is how it works -
I won the box from her! So she mailed the box to me. I took the things I wanted - and filled up - well - 2 Boxes! And, I'll do a drawing here for you to win. Then, the boxes will be mailed to the winners (each winner gets one box) - and you take what you want, fill up the box - and mail it on - So The Stash Just Keeps On Travelin!!!
So, the box came filled with all of these goodies:
and I kept these goodies for me:
Mkay - so I found a ton of goodies that I wanted to share - more than I could fit in one box!
So, I divided the items left from the box in half, and added my own goodies to each box!
Box 1
includes half of the items left from the box I received, and I added several patterns, charm packs, a honey bun, a Tuffet I made using "Simple Abundance", and scrap bags (Bliss, Kansas Troubles, Christmas Past, and some Fig Tree Scraps)!
Box 2
includes the other half of the items left in the box I received. And, I added, several patterns, charm packs, Fig Tree Scraps (almost a full Jelly Roll of Dandelion Girl, Mill House Inn charms and scraps and more), a honey bun, a Kansas Troubles Candy Bar and scrap bag, and a "Tuffet" I made using "Gypsy Rose".
How To Win
If you'd like to win one of the boxes - and agree to take what you like, fill it up, and send it on - just post a comment here telling me this: What is your dream - if money & time were no object, what would you do?
I'll announce the 2 winners of the boxes next Monday, March 28.
TTFN,
Kelly

If money and time were no object - I would love to tour the United states - all 50 states, to say I had enjoyed our country. Yes an RV road trip at leisure.

If money and time were not object I would help with much needed repairs at my daughter's families home and money for my grandchildren college fund. And go on the cruise hubs and I have always wanted to go on.

If money and time were no object, I'd love to own my own quilt shop. I know, it's hard work since I already work at one, but you said time and money were not an object. Think I could do it on those terms and not worry about making money!!

If I could do anything I would buy a house on a lake with lots of treed land. Then buy a small camper and travel all over the US quilting, visiting Parks, quilt stores, and antiquing.
Posted by: Colleen | March 21, 2011 at 03:06 PM
I'd buy a house in the Southeast where its warm and no need for a winter coat! I'm tired of winter.
Posted by: Laurie | March 21, 2011 at 03:13 PM
If time and money were no object, I would pay off the mortgage on my house and then renovate it to make a bigger kitchen and living room.I would also love to be able to pay for college for my 3 kids. Of course I would use some of money for quilting.
Posted by: Brenda | March 21, 2011 at 03:17 PM
I agree with the first person. I would love to travel the United States with my husband and 11 yr old son. To travel the back roads of the USA at our own pace, would be a dream come true. I've never traveled in an RV but it sounds like fun. ;> Thanks for taking me out of myself and into dreamland for a moment.

If time and money were no object, I would buy myself a cute little cottage by a quiet lake, somewhere warm, and quilt/sew my little heart away for all the wonderful charities that I long to be part of. :o)

I love this kind of giveaway!!! I'm cleaning my sewing room so I have lots I could add to a box.
I'd love to have the money for my stepson to return to college or some type of schooling for additional training. It is more than the tuition. It would also require $$$$ for his living expenses and bills.
Thanks for encouraging us to dream!

If time and money didn't matter? First I'd take a long trip to Italy. No, first I would retire, THEN I would take long trip to Italy. Then I'd come home, but a nice RV, and hit the road, visiting all 48 (49?) states, in a very leisurely way. Of course, I would have my sewing machine with me, and plenty of stitching projects.
Posted by: Sunny | March 21, 2011 at 04:06 PM
If money and time were no issue, I would first see my DDs educated and then upgrade both of my sewing machines and have a steady flow of fabrics enabling me to sew for those in need of the comfort of a quilt. Thank you so much Kelly! I appreciate you!!

If I could do whatever I wanted and money was no object. I would quilt, take classes and make a ton of charity quilts. I would travel all over with my kids and husband. I would volunteer to help families in need. I would want to teach quilting. Hmm....I could go on... But I won't! Thanks for the chance to win. Hugs Ariane

Travel, travel, travel! First, all the U.S Nat'l Parks and then some select countries like Italy and France and Switzerland. THEN, buy condos in the French Quarter and the west side of Maui, each with a sewing room complete with space for a long arm so I could quilt the tops I piece while traveling.
Posted by: krisgray | March 21, 2011 at 04:58 PM
Time and money were no object...I would absolutely have to spend it seeing the world leisurely! None of these tour bus and see Europe in 10 day deals....NO...for me taking my time and savoring it all slowly. If I want to spend a day at an outdoor cafe in Italy and just watch the people I would do that and not feel hurried to catch the 5pm bus! LOL (been there...did that!) How about you?
Posted by: Mary Flynn | March 21, 2011 at 05:27 PM
Wow, I'm so excited Kelly, thank you. I will be definitely paying it forward.
If money were no object, I would live someplace where it wasn't so hot in the summer and get myself a long arm quilting machine. Then I would not work and quilt on my long arm whenever I wanted. And where I lived would need to be close to a beach so I could spend time just sitting in the sand and watching the waves. And this cooler place would be ideal for growing lots of flowers in the yard.
Posted by: Carol | March 21, 2011 at 05:35 PM
I would have my own fabric store in our barn for myself and select friends. Of course there would be no cash register!!!!!!
and I love the idea of the traveling stash and would love to keep it going! So cool that you have started a second box!

I've just found your blog and it was so fun reading back through your posts. Dreams are food for our souls I think - and mine would be to hire a housekeeper and cook so I could stitch more, read more, dream more. blessings, marlene

I would retire early and volunteer in a 3rd world like country or area of a country for at least 1 yr so I could use my giving heart. Then I would quilt and bind all my tops and donate those to charity groups/events to help them fundraise even more for excellent causes that would help others who didn't have the money or time to improve the life of themselves and/or their families.
Take care, Leslie

I would build a log home on at least 5 acres of lakeside property. I would buy a fifth wheel trailer and go camping and traveling. And I would buy a new sewing machine and a long arm quilting machine and quilt to my hearts content. I would also help my children and grandchildren as much as possible with their dreams. Thanks, its fun to dream sometimes.

If money and/or time was not an option, I would help all three of children pay off their college loans, especially my two younger kids who are struggling due to the terrible job market. I would spend more time visiting my elederly mother who lives in a different town but since I work, I don't get to see her as often as I would like and I would do lots of charity work in the town in which I live. Thanks for letting me participate.

Wow, if money and time were no object I'd pay for my son's education and travel with my kids and quit my job so I'd have more time to quilt! Love this pass it on idea...I just moved to a smaller place and have too much stuff!! But new stuff is different...fun!

Oh my.... if money and time was not an option my dream is to travel the world!!! I have always had a great interest in travelling. When I was a teenager I wrote to over 20 penpals from all over the world. I wrote to many of them (with good old pen and paper) for YEARS!!! I even was lucky to meet my friends from Japan, Turkey and Houston. My friend from Japan came to visit me two summers in a row. In 1993 I had the chance to travel (by myself at the tender young age of 21.. yes my parents nearly had a stroke) to Turkey! I still keep many of these friends today, although now its mainly Facebook.
I would still love to visit my friends in Denmark, France, Ireland, the United States and many more. Trevor and I loooove to watch the travel shows and there are sooo many places we would love to experience.
I would definetely love to participate in the chance to win one of those boxes and then adding to it before passing it along!
Quiltingly Yours

Interesting topic, if time and money were no problem I would pay off all the bills, repair home and children's homes, college funds set up for grandchildren, travel extensively (here in the USA and abroad) but also I've always wanted to have a fund in a global aid to help out peoples' movements.
Having injuries a couple of time where it was difficult to get around I can't imagine people's lives with this in 3rd world countries. So I would help by collecting and sending out wheel chairs, crutches, walking supports, walkers, etc.... perhaps call it "movement without borders". I admit my ignorance and would further investigate and implement My dream.

Oh I would probably have to buy a new house to house all my purchases...haha Good thing I've got a lot of money...in my dreams!

Posted by: Kristy | March 22, 2011 at 09:09 PM
Wow! Isn't stash fun?
Time is already not a factor, and I dabble often in all sorts of textile related fun. If money was added to the pot, I would have more adventures visitng Native American Indian sites for artistic inspiration, probably own a library as I love books (the real kind), help my son and his family, and who knows what else! Thanks for letting me dream a little!

If time and money were no object, I would retire so fast it would make your head spin! LOL Then I would craft and quilt and help the charities that I try to help now, but in a bigger way. I feel so guilty sometimes, because there are so many good causes, and not enough time to help them all.
A side note: I've seen that when you provide all and everything for folks, they many times don't appreciate it, so if I were gifting, I would make sure they had gone through some fairly rough times first. Sounds callous, but it taught me and my hubby a lot!
Posted by: Jacque Bruce | March 23, 2011 at 07:57 AM
Goodness wouldn't it be fantastic to go to the Quilt Markets and to the Shows. The Opryland Hotel? I am a novice quilter so the inspiration would be a catalyst no doubt. The travel fun, the quilt shops along the way, meeting the people who run them all and a batik demonstration. Couple that with dining your way along also

I would retire & buy a big piece of property & build a GIANT creation studio...big enough for my family & friends & I to all play in at once!
I'd hire a landscaper & gardener so the grounds would be beautiful. Oh yeah, guess I'd build a little house for me to sleep in too!
Posted by: quiltzyx | March 23, 2011 at 01:15 PM

Oh wow! How fun is this? :) Let's see. If money and time were no object, first thing I would do is pay off my house, move up to the Dallas, Texas area where my grandbabies are and open a quilt shop. I've ALWAYS wanted to do that. And if money were no object, it would be a doozy of a shop! I would only have to work when I wanted to (remember money is no object!), so I could just quilt and stitch and take care of my grandbabies, and come to the store whenever I want. Oh my....a gal can dream, can't she?
I'd love to participate in this fun idea! I have lots and lots to share and what better way than with fellow quilters, stitchers, sewers that are as passionate about their hobbies as I am. Thank you for the chance! :)
Hugs from Texas.

Oh my gosh...what a fun giveaway! I can't participate as I don't have a blog, but all the same I wanted to tell you what I would do if money and time were of no consequence. First...selfishly I would move into a home that was all one level, NO STAIRS, what a dream that would be, LOL. The house would of course have a beautiful sewing room with a gorgeous, plentiful stash to choose from. Then I would want to make sure my children and grand children were doing okay...not extravagant, just comfortable. Of course with money being no object there are so many people that need help keeping the simplest necessities that we take for granted and I would try with all my soul to do something about that. I'd donate tons to childrens hospitals...I try to do something about the way nursing homes are run to ensure our seniors were treated with the respect and loving care we owe them. Our veterans too need so much help! Oh...so many things worth striving to improve, including animal shelters. Ah well, you get the drift. As for the time, I would of course, keep some for myself but hopefully I would (and I'm thinking of a world in which health is not an issue either, LOL) give of my time and myself to anyone I could find that needed me. I would once again volunteer for Hospice and any other cause that I could find. So, there you have the jist of it. Would it be a wonderful way to live...to give freely of yourself and your money without giving it a second thought. "Perfection". Hugs...

If money and time were no object, I would take my husband and son and his wife to Hawaii for at least a month. We've never really had a honeymoon and we've been married almost 34 years. We also have never really taken a vacation in probably 20+ years.

If I had all the time and money in the world, my husband and I would retire and would start a non profit organization to help homeless and military vets and others in need. We are currently helping with homeless meals in our area, delivering pet food and supplies to low-income elderly and trying to help with a home build for an injured military service member.

If money were no object, I would like to learn to fly,see that all in need were cared for, return to Steeple Aston, England, where I once lived, when my ex and I were stationed in UK. And find a cure for Chronic Fatigue Immune deficiency Syndrome.

Wow, there are so many things I would do. I would pay off my son's house and college loans and buy my daughter a house and pay her college loans. I would also pay my soon to be daughter in law's college loans. No help from her parents there. I probably wouldn't quit my job because I love teaching (elementary special education) and the people I work with. I might buy a quilt shop so I could go get any fabric anytime. I would probably also get a quilting machine. I think that would be fun. I would also probably support my daughter's animal habit! I would buy a vacation home somewhere warm large enough for my family and friends to use whenever they wanted. Many charities that also need help. Unlimited resources so little time! Great give away!

If money were no object I would like to take my dad to Sweden. That's where his family came from. My handicapped sister lives with him so his ability to travel is severely curtailed and when my mom was ailve she didn't like to fly. He doesn't have a lot of money so I would love to take him on a trip of a lifetime! I would love to win the traveling scrap box too.

If money were no object, a hard concept to get around, I am not sure what I would do. I know that I would want to make sure that my family was taken care of, help others out and probably travel.

Hi! I'm Nan from Pots and Pins and I started the Traveling Stash on Stash Manicure!! I was tickled pink to stumble upon your blog and find this post about the stash - and SO, SO happy the stash has continued to travel! I even noticed a few of the things I put in were still there! Thanks so much for continuing the stash and for now sending out TWO!! It's just heart-warming to know where the stash is going!~ I only wish I'd put in a piece of paper that people could sign their names to so they could see where it had been - oh well, next time! xo, Nan

I'd like to send all of my grandchildren and great nieces and nephews to college. That would be my dream. I know what a difference it would make in their lives.

If money were no object, I would buy a little piece of land (about 5 acres) near the beach. I would build a pole barn so that I could rescue up to 4 neglected horses at a time and above the horses I would have a quilt studio where I could play whenever I wasn't with the horses, out on the beach with my dog, Pollie, or collecting eggs from my chickies or out in the lavender fields nurturing and smelling the lavender. Then I would end the day out in the hot tub staring up at the stars and thanking God for all my blessings!! Thanks for this opportunity!!
