Hi girls! I've been having a little pinwheel stitchin' party here! Now, to get the context I'm gonna have to ask you to think back - way back!
Um - back further than that! Think way, WAY back - over a year ago, I think (but I'm scared to check) when I started the "Pinwheel Quilt Along" over at P.S. I Quilt.
So, let me "splain" what happened!
We're all having a great time!
We're all going to make 20 blocks from 10 different designs from Rachel.
And then, Rachel did something quite unexpected! She said that we should choose our last block on our own - we could design our own!
So, off I go - having a blast in EQ6 - drawing all kinds of fun pinwheel blocks! And, all of the sudden, my quilt goes from 20 to 30 blocks (from 10 designs to 15 designs)!
I cut them all out - and then get distracted with some other projects - and it went into the MUF's bin!
Well, this week - I had one of those times where I just wanted to sew! Ya know what I mean - I didn't want to have to design, or to choose fabric or to cut, or to think!
I just wanted some totally NON-THINKING, totally RELAXING stitchin!
So, out of the MUF's bin it came
And I've been havin' the best little Non-Thinkin', Relaxin' Pinwheel Stitchin' Party ever!
Here are a couple of the blocks I drew to add to my quilt:
They're both nine patches with mini pinwheels
- just between you and me - I think they're my very favorite of all!
See, there's just no reason to be upset about having MUF's or UFO's - seriously! Because one day, that MUF will be exactly the project you want and need, and you'll be like me - happy as a little lark at your own private, non-thinkin', relaxin' stitchin' party!
TTFN,
Kelly
