I made Stuffed French Toast for brunch on Sunday, and it turned out
super tasty - so I thought I'd share the recipe with you all!
Ingredients
8 Slices Bread
2 Extra Large Eggs
2 Tbsp. Grand Marnier or Triple Sec (Orange Liqueur)
1 1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
4 oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Raspberry Preserves
1/2 Stick Butter
Confectioner's Sugar for Dusting
Add eggs, Grand Marnier, and cinnamon to mixing bowl, and beat until well mixed. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on 4 slices of bread. Spread raspberry preserves on the remaining 4 slices. Lay a slice with cream cheese on top of a slice with raspberry preserves to make a sandwhich. Melt one tablespoon of butter on medium heat in frying pan. Dip the entire sandwhich in the egg mixture, and place it in the frying pan, cooking until it is golden brown on each side. Slice, dust with confectioner's sugar, and serve. Makes 4 Stuffed French Toast Sandwhiches.
A truly scrumptious brunch - I promise!
Enjoy!
TTFN,
Kelly
