I've been doing a bit of stitching on the Farmer's Wife blocks. I've had the book for a long time - and I love it. There is a wisdom, grace, simplicity and strength in the century old letters of these farm wives that I adore!
I've decided to go in order of the book - so I can read each letter, and savor the wisdom as I stitch!
If the blocks don't require templates, I draw them in EQ6 and rotary cut. For the ones that require templates, I make Reusable Iron-On Templates with freezer paper.
Here's how I make the templates.
Easy - peasy, Reusable Iron-On Templates. Simply press them to your fabric
I also have all of my petals and flower centers ready to hand-stitch
And so, while I'll miss summer - I do look forward to the cool fall air - and more time for sewing!
