like I need another hole in my head!
But, this fabric has a special purpose, so I don't feel as guilty (oh and I got it with a great discount). Now, what I fell in love with on this fabric, called "Sweethearts" by Darlene Zimmerman,
is the sweet little couples! You know I'm a sucker for "love".
And, I fell in love with this fabric, "Flour Sack" by Windham, because I just loved how it really looks like the traditional feed sack prints
Oddly enough - I even really like the browns!
The new sewing room/office will be decorated with 30's prints (accented with the red in the 30's prints) hence painting so many things red.
I had several ideas, but after a long chat with Carol, we decided that 30's fit me best - and would be perfect.
Oh, and I also saw this on Sherri's blog - and thought it was so ca-ute! Plus, it's a message I really need to take heed of :) So, it will be great to hang in the sewing room, too!
Check back tomorrow - I have some news on how I plan to deal with my "stash", a little giveaway - oh, and that "dirty" laundry I promised you about "The Gap" last week - oh, and pictures of the new sewing room/office!
TTFN,
Kelly
P.S. Hey Brooke, is this the same Sarah Jane?? I just noticed when I shot this picture that the designer of this cutie had the same name as the one who sent you that adorable artwork for your daughter's room :)!

I can see why you just had to have it Kelly....its all adorable and makes you want to create lots of different things. I look forward to seeing your new sewing room :) Hugs Vicki x

I'm lovin' that new 30's fabric...I think I need some! I fell in love with that stitchery when I saw it on Sherri's blog too...not sure I know how to do those stitches though...maybe I need some tutoring...hmmm!

Wow Kelly, I love all of your new fabrics! They are so cheerful and remind me of my 'growing up years'. Oh, and in the last picture of fabrics, there is a red plaid fabric with the white and yellow Daises on it...my mom had a table cloth exactly like that!!! Daises were her favorite flower and our back yard was filled with them. (Super memories). Then, I was looking at that adorable Sarah Jane pattern trying to remember when I had heard that remark and it finally hit me...it's very close to a line from the movie "Murphy's Romance" where Sally Fields is talking to her son about how short on money they are. I can see them sitting on the wood steps of their house as she is rinsing out some rags and telling him the very same thing. What a great movie! Two things I have to do now...find my copy of the movie cause now I want to watch it AND see if I can find that Sarah Jane stitchery pattern...perfect!!! Big Hugs...

Oh my goodness! I love them all! Reminds me of my grama. She bought flour by the 25 lb sacks because we made tortillas every single day of the world. We never saw bread in our house till I was about 10 or 11. She made all her aprons from the sacks. I can't wait to see your finished room.
