I got to spend a quiet weekend
with my McStudly. Now this guy
my McStudly Jr. is a busy guy these days! It seems like he's always on the run - and I miss him. When he got up on Saturday (heading out for a long day with band) I asked him "Who are you and what are you doing in my house?"
He just laughed, but I really do miss spending more time with him. So, I asked McStudly if it would be okay if we switched our date reward up a bit - could we spend Saturday together, and then take McStudly Jr. with us to KC for dinner and the movie! He said sure! Now, McStudly would never admit it, but I think he really gets to missing our almost grown up baby boy, too!
Saturday was so relaxing! We watched "Thor" in 3D, and shut the TV off! We had dinner, and really got to be present with each other and talk! I think those are the times I truly cherish the most with McStudly - when we shut the rest of the world out - and get to just be - just be with each other, and chat about life, about love, about what matters!
On Sunday, we had lunch at Bravo's (very yummy Italian food)!
We saw "Contagion". We all liked it - went so well with a bucket of buttery popcorn! Ya just can't beat movie popcorn :)!!
I didn't buy any fabric or get to sew this weekend, but am now on the FQS e-mail list for a few lines that are "Coming Soon" (i.e. Pam Kitty Morning, Flower Sugar, and Folk Heart)! Can't wait for those bright and cheery lines to get here!
We did do a bit of shopping in KC! I love to find unique, fun things - and I just fell in love with this
adorable tape dispenser! A sweet little high-heeled shoe with a pink bow from Italian Designer - uh, Sold (even though it was made in China lol)!
Hope your weekend was as wonderful - we all deserve a relaxing, joyful day or two with those we love most in the world!
