Hi girls! Well, it's already wellness Friday again! I'm really growing to love these days - because they force me to reflect on the week, and how well things are going! Since I have to share with all of you, it really draws me to reflect on changes that I need to make for the next week! I can't wait to read your wellness reports - hoping you all had a great week! And, if you'd like to join us in blogging on Fridays about your journey to wellness, please let me know.
McStudly is here with me as I write:)!! Here we go:

Reading/Journaling :) :) :)
Walking :)
Meditation :(
I did walk five days this week (good thing I walked on Sunday because it was cold and I got rained out on Monday)! I spent more than my average time in reading/journaling. But, McStudly and I only meditated once!
Reading :)
Meditation :(
While we talked about it, and agreed that we need to get back to our evening meditation, things went really well this week! We are learning much about finding authentic peace and joy in life - that lightness and REST (which was my Word Up for this year - and which is not so much rest from activity as it is rest in the heart and mind)!
What I Learned This Week: You'll remember last week I learned that I kept myself way over-busied with activity as an avoidance mechanism! Well, this week I learned that what I was avoiding didn't need to be avoided at all! I learned, in the proper context of facing it, my pain isn't all that painful, and the fear isn't all that scary!
Me: McStudly, what did you learn this week?
McStudly: You're putting me on the spot!
Me: Giving him the look!
McStudly (Being evasive and laughing hysterically): I learned A LOT.
Me (Trying to remember McStudly is the strong silent type - and I love that): No, seriously - what did you learn this week!
McStudly: I learned that you find happiness in the present moment, and to focus more on not getting caught up in the past or worrying about the future - but, to enjoy the NOW!
There you have it girls! All in all, it was a great week - we're experiencing more joy, laughter, love and lightness in life - and that's what we set out to do! Yet, we think it would have been even better had we done our meditation as scheduled - so we're going to try to do that more next week.
Rewards: No planned rewards for this weekend, but like I said, our whole focus on this wellness journey is finding authentic, lasting joy, love, peace, and happiness - and finding a lot more of that in our lives, well - that is the greatest reward of all!
TTFN,
McStudly & Kelly
