Oh girls, thank you again for all of your sweet comments – for your encouragement and your kindness. I'm so incredibly grateful for all of you, and I hope that through this blog, I'll be able to pay forward the gifts you all have given to me. I'm getting sappy again – so I better just announce our winners –

Comment #110 was from SuzK, and comment #66 was from SherriVF. Congratulations girls! I do hope that you enjoy the fabric. Please e-mail me your mailing addresses, and I'll get your bundles in the mail.
I've noticed several of you posting the cute things you're planning to sew this summer, and I thought I'd share a few things on my "hopeful sewing" list (and to ask you all for a bit of advice).
I love these quilts by Lori Holt
"Cherry Cheesecake" and "Cake Walk"
And these (also by Lori)
"Vintage Dishes" and "Remember Grandma's Apron"
And these fun little projects (also by Lori)
"Sew Hexie Cushion" and "Eat Cake"!
I'd like to make the quilts to hang on the quilt ladder that McStudly made me for our living room, the pillow for a chair . . . . And, while I love the colors Lori used, they don't really match my décor.
We went to the big city this weekend, and I fell in love with this painting.
Thank you again McStudly :0) (he even hung it up already)!! Now, I know the painting and these quilts are a different "style" and I'm happy with that. I like a little pretty elegance, but not too much or it sort of takes the warmth out of the home for me (want it to be pretty, but not "stuffy"). So, I like the mix of pretty-elegant things with what I call comfy-"down home things". But, I'm not sure about the colors. I have fabric that matches the soft pink, the pale turquoise, and the mint green:
But, I'm not sure I will like the quilts in the softer colors. What do you girls think? Would these quilts be as cute in softer colors? How do you decide on your fabric?
This is always a challenge for me – I am completely drawn to bright, cheery, fun fabric, but for our décor I guess the softer side comes out, and I'm more drawn to the pastels – so I'd really appreciate your advice girls!
Hope you all are having a great week – and taking time to enjoy what you love!!
