We're still talking about what a great time we had in Houston - it really was a blast!
So, I was thinking -- why was Market so great?
Yes, seeing all the new fabric and quilts was nice! And, Sample Spree -- getting to come home with new Moda fabric
But, what made Quilt Market so much fun was really the people.
I've mentioned a ton of them already, but here are a few you haven't seen:
John and Cheryl
Gene and his wife
Brian and Tom (not pictured). These are all Moda Reps. And, they happen to be the people that literally made us laught until our cheeks hurt.
Kate Spain -- the warmest and most friendly person I think we met!
We also enjoyed chatting with Eric and Joanna Figuero of Fig Tree Quilts :
Okay -- I was bad about taking pictures, but there were so many more:
Anne S. of Bunny Hill -- so humble and kind! Just an all around Sweetie.
Lissa A. -- a genius in marketing, great quilt designer, and also a Sweetie.
And, wasn't the The Moda Bakeshop
Janice & Marcea of Abbey Lane Quilts -- just great ladies, with fresh fun quilt designs I adored.
Barb of Quilt Soup -- what a nice lady!
Most Notably Missed:
I really wanted to meet Camille of Thimbleblossoms. She wasn't there, but I did get to see her:
And, I'm dying to meet Carrie of Miss Rosie's Quilt Company. She wasn't there either, but I did get to see her:
It's probably just as well that she wasn't there -- I'd have just embarrassed myself with the "Wayne's World" bow and "I'm not worthy" stuff!
I also really wanted to meet my friend Stef in person, and to meet Brenda L. from Moda in person--maybe next year!
And, finally -- some of my favorite people! All of you Charming Girls who were there with me in spirit, and through your blog comments. I so appreciate all of you and your comments.
And, the winner is:
Miss Annie B. of Seize The Day Quilting! Congrats Annieb!
Oh, you're probably wondering what you won -- huh?
E-mail me your address Annie, and we'll get it shipped right out to you!
